About me:
Suzie's work explores themes around identity and sexuality, and in a broader sense mortality. She is inspired by folk lore, fairytales and the female experience, often using her own body as the subject.
Suzie is interested in using the camera to create surreal narratives, using photographic principles to manipulate the images. She makes her own filters to distort reality, and plays with lighting and timing making all her work in camera.
Suzie won the 2o23 Women in Art Tim May Memorial prize and has exhibited with the prestigious Art on a postcard, Mall Galleries Women in Art Fair, Nasty Gallery, The Roundhouse London, The new Art exchange Nottingham, Photo Fringe Brighton and others around the UK. Her work has been published in Artists Responding to Magazine and A place for Us Magazine.
She studied BA Photography at Nottingham Trent University and lives in Suffolk, UK.
